According to foreign media reports, sources familiar with the matter revealed that the artificial intelligence chip startup Positron is in talks to launch a two-stage fundraising round aiming to raise approximately $750 million. Positron focuses on developing high-energy efficient inference chips for running AI models and is among many companies seeking to challenge NVIDIA's position. The first stage of this fundraising round is expected to bring the company's valuation to $3.5 billion, with the second stage valuation potentially reaching around $5 billion. If this fundraising is successful, the company's valuation will more than double in just five months. Positron's investor lineup includes Valor Equity Partners, Atreides Management, and DFJ Growth, and also includes Arm and the Qatar Investment Authority.
