Heavy rainfall in the capital of Ghana and surrounding areas has caused the deaths of 34 people.

Richard Amo Yartey, an official from the Ghana National Disaster Management Department, told the media on the 3rd that the recent heavy rainfall and flooding have led to the deaths of 34 people nationwide, with 12 deaths in the capital city Accra alone. Once reports from other regions are verified, the death toll may rise further.
