International Atomic Energy Agency: Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant loses external power for the 21st time.
On the 3rd local time, the International Atomic Energy Agency issued a statement stating that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant lost external power for the 21st time during the military conflict. The International Atomic Energy Agency team on site at the nuclear power plant heard military activity, which caused the electrical protection devices connecting the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to the power lines to activate, including a line that was repaired during the ceasefire in June. Emergency diesel generators at the nuclear power plant have been activated to provide power for reactor cooling and other key nuclear safety functions. Power has now been restored, but one of the lines connecting the nuclear power plant to the transmission lines remains unusable.
