Former party member and Deputy Mayor of Ziyang City Government, Sichuan Province, Huang Xuezhi, was sentenced to twelve years in prison in the first instance.

On July 3rd, the Intermediate People's Court of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, publicly sentenced Huang Xuezhi, former member of the Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Zigong City, Sichuan Province, for bribery. The defendant Huang Xuezhi was sentenced to twelve years in prison for the crime of bribery and fined three million yuan; the confiscated proceeds of the bribery by Huang Xuezhi were recovered and turned over to the state treasury, with any shortfall to be further recovered. After investigation and trial, it was found that from 2011 to 2025, the defendant Huang Xuezhi, taking advantage of his positions as Deputy District Chief of Ziliujing District, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zigong Municipal Government, District Chief of Yantuan District, Secretary-General of the Zigong Municipal Government, Secretary of Yantuan District, Secretary of Ziliujing District, and Deputy Mayor of Zigong City, provided assistance to others in project contracting, disbursement of project funds, obtaining subsidy funds, and promotion in positions, illegally accepting a total of 30.02 million yuan in property.
