French Health Minister: During the heatwave in June, at least 2025 excess deaths occurred throughout France.

According to French Health Minister Stphanie Lissner, as of July 3 local time, based on preliminary statistics from the French Public Health Agency, there have been at least 2,025 excess deaths nationwide during the heatwave period from June 18 to 28. Lissner stated that this number is still preliminary and not all regional data has been compiled, the final assessment results will be released after the end of summer this year.
