High-tech industry research institute TrendForce has released the latest memory price survey, predicting that the DRAM market will continue to face severe supply shortages in the third quarter of 2026. Despite this, the slight slowdown in consumer application demand and the high base effect will slightly moderate the rate of increase in DRAM contract prices, which are expected to rise by +13 to 18% on a sequential basis.
As for NAND Flash, TrendForce believes that AI inference demand and the continued construction of large-scale data centers will continue to drive most of the demand. However, as contract prices are already at historic highs and consumer market demand is slowing down, customers' ability to absorb further price increases has reached its limit. Therefore, TrendForce predicts that NAND Flash contract prices will rise by +10 to 15% on a sequential basis, a significant narrowing of the rate of increase compared to previous quarters.
