In the first half of the year, the number of inbound and outbound personnel at Shanghai Port reached 21.126 million.

According to the Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection, in the first half of 2026, the Shanghai immigration authorities have inspected a total of 21.26 million inbound and outbound travelers, and 146,000 inbound and outbound transportation vehicles. Among them, there were 3.166 million inbound foreign travelers, a year-on-year increase of 22%. As the summer travel season kicks off, Pudong International Airport saw a peak of 33,000 outbound Chinese travelers in a single day on July 1, the highest in nearly two months.
