KnightX Holdings Co., Ltd. has delivered samples of next-generation flash memory chips to major AI data center operators, aiming to outpace competitors in this lucrative market. The chip manufacturer based in Tokyo has introduced a new high-density 3D flash memory chip specifically designed to meet the needs of AI data centers, offering higher storage density, faster data transfer speeds, and superior energy efficiency. KnightX announced on Friday that this new storage product will be integrated into its data center solid-state drives, which will be produced at a new production line located at the North factory in Iwate, Japan. The chip features a 332-layer stack design, allowing a single silicon chip to accommodate larger data capacities. The new facility will help KnightX increase production capacity to meet the explosive data storage demands of AI service providers. The factory will simultaneously mass produce the outstanding ninth-generation low-cost flash memory chips and the tenth-generation new products. KnightX's main competitors in the data center and mobile flash memory markets include South Korea's Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron Technology based in Boise, Idaho, USA.
