In a report, the research department of ANZ Bank wrote that investor sentiment may be affected by the strength of the US dollar, and the market is waiting for the US review of refined copper imports and potential tariffs. The institution added that US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was scheduled to report the latest news to US President Trump earlier this week. The three-month copper futures contract on the London Metal Exchange fell by 0.1%, to $13,281.00 per ton.
