National railways implement the third quarter train operation schedule, Shenzhen railway capacity upgrade.
Starting from July 1st, the national railway will implement the third quarter train schedule, with 106 additional trains compared to the previous schedule. After this adjustment, Shenzhen Railway will see a comprehensive increase in operational capacity, with upgrades in three dimensions: the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail, intercity commuting, and cross-regional mainlines. This schedule adjustment will further enhance the cross-border travel capacity between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Hong Kong West Kowloon will have direct trains to three new mainland stations: Guangzhou North, Yiwu, and Fuqing West, bringing the total number of stations to 113. During peak hours on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail, there will be 30 trains running per hour, with an average frequency of one train every two minutes, making cross-border travel truly convenient. At the same time, two long-distance trains will have their originating stations adjusted to Futian Station, improving both cross-border commuting and inter-provincial long-distance travel.
