English Silicon Intelligence announcement, the group has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Takeda Pharmaceutical. Both parties will leverage English Silicon Intelligence's independently developed Pharma.AI artificial intelligence drug research platform to jointly conduct drug candidate research in the disease treatment areas selected by Takeda Pharmaceutical, focusing on high-potential therapeutic targets and developing candidate drugs with clinical differentiation advantages. Under this collaboration, English Silicon Intelligence is responsible for leading the artificial intelligence-driven drug discovery process, screening candidate molecules that meet predetermined scientific standards and early development requirements; Takeda Pharmaceutical will leverage its mature global drug development capabilities to advance clinical trial verification of corresponding candidate drugs. Under the terms of the agreement, English Silicon Intelligence may receive approximately $60 million in project initiation funds and milestone payments; and also has the right to receive milestone payments at various stages including preclinical, clinical, commercialization, and sales stages, with a total maximum transaction value of approximately $600 million. In addition, once the collaborative product achieves commercialization, English Silicon Intelligence may receive tiered royalty fees based on product sales. Takeda Pharmaceutical will have exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize the innovative therapies produced from this collaboration on a global scale.
