Different signals are being released within the European Central Bank! The Governor of the Bank of Estonia supports continuing to raise interest rates, Lagarde says risks are becoming more balanced.
According to the Securities Times app, the European Central Bank is still discussing whether further rate hikes are necessary. Ulo Kaasik, a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank and President of the Bank of Estonia, said that after the energy price shock triggered by the Iran war, the European Central Bank may still need to further tighten monetary policy to ensure that inflation falls back to the 2% target.
