Recently, about 20 domestic and foreign chip manufacturers, including Infineon, Texas Instruments, and STMicroelectronics, collectively launched a new round of price hikes. Power semiconductors are the core product category affected by this round of price hikes, with several manufacturers already announcing price adjustments this year. Infineon is the world's largest power semiconductor manufacturer. On June 30th, Pan Dawei, Global Senior Vice President and President of Greater China at Infineon, responded to reporters about the new round of price hikes at the company's media day, saying, "This price increase is mainly due to factors such as rising costs, including the increase in raw material prices." The strong demand for power semiconductors is largely driven by AI, especially the increasing demand for electricity from AI data centers. "Currently, Infineon's AI business capacity will be dynamically adjusted and expanded according to market demand," Infineon said.
