In June, the number of employed people in the construction industry increased by 0.2 million, while in May it increased by 0.8 million. In June, the number of employed people in the manufacturing industry increased by 0.5 million, while in May it increased by 0.3 million. In June, the number of employed people in the trade/transportation/utilities industry increased by 1.5 million, while in May it increased by 3.6 million. In June, the number of employed people in the financial services industry increased by 1.4 million, while in May it increased by 0.7 million. In June, the number of employed people in the professional/business services industry increased by 0.2 million, while in May it increased by 1.1 million. In June, the median annual wage growth rate for employed construction workers was 4.6%, compared to 4.5% in May. In June, the median annual wage growth rate for employed manufacturing workers was 4.9%, compared to 4.8% in May. In June, the median annual wage growth rate for employed workers in the trade/transportation/utilities industry was 4.4%, the same as in May. In June, the median annual wage growth rate for employed workers in the financial services industry was 5.1%, the same as in May. In June, the median annual wage growth rate for employed workers in the professional/business services industry was 4.1%, the same as in May.
