1 hour and 17 minutes: First high-speed rail from Hong Kong to Guangzhou North departs today.

On July 1st, the 29th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the motherland, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail achieved a historic breakthrough: the regular direct high-speed rail service from West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong to Guangzhou North Station was officially opened. This is the first time since the opening of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail that there has been regular cross-border high-speed rail service stopping at Huadu.
