Organization: It appears that the expected delivery of Airbus aircraft is on track to be achieved.
Jens-Peter Rieck of MWB Research wrote in a report to clients that Airbus's goal of delivering approximately 870 commercial aircraft to customers this year seems achievable after a faster delivery pace in the second quarter. He estimated that Airbus delivered 87 jet aircraft in June, up from 81 in May and 67 in April, all higher than the 56 monthly average in the second quarter of the past 10 years. He said that strong delivery numbers have ended the debate over whether the European aircraft manufacturer should lower its annual targets. He upgraded his rating of the stock from hold to buy. Airbus's stock price rose by 2.1% to 198.70 euros.
