UBS analysts wrote in a report to clients that ASML may raise its outlook for the year again when it announces its second-quarter performance on July 15. The Dutch semiconductor manufacturing equipment supplier is expecting sales between 36 billion and 40 billion euros this year. Analysts stated that with the increasing demand for chip manufacturing equipment, the group may raise its expectations to the upper end of that range, or possibly slightly above. ASML expects a gross margin between 51% and 53%, a closely watched indicator of pricing and profitability. Analysts said they believe there is room for a moderate upward adjustment towards the upper end of that range. ASML's stock price rose by 0.5% to 1,729 euros.
