The Financial Times cited information from anonymous sources, reporting that French container shipping group CMA CGM is close to reaching a cash acquisition deal to purchase FedEx's third-party logistics business for $1.4 billion. Negotiations between the two parties regarding FedEx's supply chain business have entered the final stages, and the deal could be officially finalized as early as Wednesday. CMA CGM and FedEx have not yet responded to media requests for comments.
