Lao Fengxiang announced that its subsidiary company will terminate its investment in the equity of Maybach Luxury Goods Asia Pacific and instead sign a new "Brand Agency Agreement" with Maybach Trading Co., Ltd. Maybach is a German ultra-luxury car brand that entered the luxury goods business in 2009 and officially established Maybach Luxury Goods Company in 2013. Its luxury goods business includes optical products, harnesses, fashion apparel, sporting goods, perfumes, etc. Maybach Luxury Goods Asia Pacific is a subsidiary registered in Hong Kong by Maybach Luxury Goods Company, and it operates luxury goods of Maybach without involving Maybach cars. Lao Fengxiang had previously announced in October 2025 that it planned to subscribe to 20% equity of Maybach Luxury Goods Asia Pacific through its subsidiary Lao Fengxiang Hong Kong Ltd. in order to cooperate in developing the high-end luxury goods market in the Asia Pacific region. However, according to the latest announcement, Maybach Luxury Goods Company has authorized its holding subsidiary Maybach Trading Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China to carry out Maybach Luxury Goods business activities in China. The original business model, business scope, brand trademark authorization conditions of Maybach Luxury Goods Asia Pacific will undergo significant changes. Therefore, in order to continue the brand agency business of Maybach Luxury Goods in China, Lao Fengxiang Hong Kong Ltd. will terminate its investment in the equity of Maybach Luxury Goods Asia Pacific and sign a new "Brand Agency Agreement" with another subsidiary, Lao Fengxiang Zhenpin Trading Co., Ltd. and Maybach Trading. This means that the cooperation between Lao Fengxiang and Maybach Luxury Goods has shifted from equity investment to brand agency, and the business scope has been reduced from the Asia Pacific region to the Chinese market.
