According to China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., in the first half of 2026, the number of passengers sent on the Yangtze River Delta Railway exceeded 470 million, with a year-on-year increase of over 3%, reaching a historical high for passenger volume in the first half of the year. From the trend of passenger flow, the number of passengers sent in the second quarter increased significantly compared to the first quarter, with a cumulative total of over 251 million passengers sent in the past three months. On May 1st, International Labor Day, a record high of 4.738 million passengers were sent, setting a new daily record for passenger volume by the Shanghai Railway Bureau.
