Cuban rescue personnel arrived in the earthquake-stricken area of Venezuela.
Cuban President Diaz-Canel said on the 29th that Cuban rescue personnel have arrived in the earthquake-stricken area of Venezuela. Diaz-Canel said on social media that Cuban medical cooperation personnel in Venezuela had immediately started treating the injured after the earthquake. Cuba will continue to stand with Venezuela. Cuban Foreign Minister Rodriguez also said on social media that a group of Cuban rescue personnel had arrived in Venezuela to assist in rescuing trapped individuals and support the Cuban medical team. On June 24th local time, Venezuela experienced two consecutive strong earthquakes of magnitude 7 or above in less than a minute. According to Venezuelan officials on the 29th, the number of casualties from the strong earthquakes has risen to 1719.
