An oil well explosion in southwestern Venezuela injured 12 people.
Venezuelan media reported on the 29th, citing sources from the Citizen Security Bureau of Apure state, that an oil well in the state exploded that day, injuring 12 people. The incident occurred near the town of La Victoria, close to the border with Colombia. Residents near the site of the incident have been evacuated. The Citizen Security Bureau of Apure state stated that the explosion was caused by a "leak of flammable gas." As of now, the Venezuelan national oil company has not released any information on the matter.
