According to Caijing APP, the latest research from Omdia on the "Industrial and Public Display and OEM Market Intelligence Service" shows that the demand for retail Point of Sale (POS) display devices is expected to continue to be under pressure in 2026. Specifically, the shipment volume of mobile POS display devices is expected to decrease by 11.5% to 11.7 million units year-on-year, and the shipment volume of standalone POS display devices is expected to decrease by 8.6% to 3.2 million units. Despite the overall decline in shipment volume, the retail POS market is undergoing a structural transformation driven by changes in payment methods and rising hardware costs, creating new growth opportunities for high value-added display solutions.
