Australia's Firmus Technologies and NVIDIA reach artificial intelligence cooperation agreement.
Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure company Firmus Technologies announced on Monday that it has signed a strategic partnership agreement with NVIDIA, aimed at helping emerging AI companies access computing power in a more cost-effective way. According to Firmus, under the agreement, the company will purchase NVIDIA's infrastructure and sell cloud services based on NVIDIA technology to clients like "AI Native"; in return, the U.S.-listed chip giant will receive product revenue and a portion of the cloud service revenue. As per the agreement, from the first quarter of 2027 to early 2028, 170,000 graphic processing units will be delivered to facilities located on the Indonesian island of Batam.
