Up to 20 million yuan! Sichuan increases support for the artificial intelligence industry chain.

Journalists learned from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology that the "Several Policies to Further Promote the Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry Chain in Sichuan Province" was officially issued and implemented recently. Centered around the principles of scenario-driven promotion to stimulate production, increasing efforts to foster enterprises, integrated advancement in scientific research and result transformation, strengthening the supply of high-quality computing power and data, and continuously optimizing the development ecosystem, a comprehensive set of hardcore support measures have been introduced in five dimensions. These measures aim to boost the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry in the province and strive to create a leading domestic hub for the development of the industry. The new policy adheres to the core idea of "promoting production with applications" and categorizes and lays out the construction of artificial intelligence application scenarios in a hierarchical manner, establishing graded funding support standards. In the construction of major benchmark scenarios, the policy focuses on eight areas: intelligent manufacturing, scientific intelligence, intelligent healthcare, intelligent government, intelligent agriculture, intelligent emergency response, intelligent services, and low-altitude intelligence. Provincial-level iconic application scenarios will receive up to 20 million RMB in funding support for projects that meet the criteria; for regional demonstration carriers, preference will be given to provincial-level artificial intelligence application scenario typical bases with up to 2 million RMB support. Furthermore, the policy strengthens incentives for national-level demonstration cultivation and large-scale model innovation. Entities selected for national artificial intelligence application scenario pilot projects and typical cases will receive a one-time reward of up to 1 million RMB. For companies in Sichuan that land and complete the registration of a national generative AI model, they will also receive up to 1 million RMB in targeted research funds. In addition, Sichuan will establish provincial-level artificial intelligence application pilot bases and physical intelligence training grounds, continue to carry out industry research on "AI+", and facilitate the transformation of technology into practical applications.
