Due to the sharp increase in power consumption of AI computing clusters, power semiconductors are becoming the new growth engine of the industry after storage, triggering another round of price hikes. "Our orders for AI-related power supplies are 'bursting at the seams,' we simply can't keep up with the orders." A representative of a power semiconductor manufacturer told reporters, "Because our company is one of the few domestic manufacturers with mass production capabilities, whether it is for products like 800V HVDC power supplies for data centers or secondary power supplies for servers, we have entered the supply chains of many leading customers and achieved large-scale production, so demand for orders is very strong." Many industry insiders believe that this cost-driven price hike cycle will continue for some time, and the industry will accelerate the clearance of low-end power device production capacity, with market share shifting towards top chip companies with complete IDM capabilities or deep ties to the upstream industry, and involved in high-growth sectors.
