There have been five earthquakes in two days in Baluchistan province in Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan National Seismic Monitoring Centre, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred at 8:06 AM local time on June 27th, 58 kilometers northeast of Balochistan province's district of Bhalan, with a depth of 19 kilometers. The nearby areas of Musa Khel and Bhalan felt significant tremors. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan stated that at least 3 people were injured in the earthquake, and rescue personnel have been dispatched to the affected areas for relief efforts. Additionally, based on monitoring data from the Pakistan National Seismic Monitoring Centre, a 4.3 magnitude earthquake occurred at 5:45 AM local time on the 27th, 40 kilometers north of Kolu district in Balochistan province, with a depth of 15 kilometers. The Kolu area had experienced three consecutive earthquakes on the 26th, with the strongest being a 5.1 magnitude earthquake at 4:49 PM local time, 60 kilometers northeast of Kolu district, with a depth of 17 kilometers. Several areas nearby felt significant tremors, around 70 houses were damaged, and at least 3 people were injured, including a child. There has been frequent seismic activity in Pakistan recently, especially in the areas near Balochistan province where the crustal activity is more active. The local government is continuously monitoring the risk of aftershocks and conducting further assessments of the affected areas.
