Report: The elderly population consider drinking milk as a stable way of managing their health, with over 70% choosing pure cow's milk as their first choice.
On June 26, the "2026 China Dairy Industry Index Report" was released. The report shows that the elderly see drinking milk as a long-term and stable way to manage their health, with over 70% choosing pure milk, reshaping their health rituals with a "glass of milk before bed". However, nearly half of the elderly rely on recommendations from family and friends when making milk purchasing decisions, highlighting the need to increase the influence of professional scientific educational channels. Song Kungang, former executive director of the China Dairy Industry Association, emphasized the importance of daily milk consumption for older people to maintain muscle mass and bone health, and called on society as a whole to embrace the concept of lifelong milk consumption.
