Three informed employees revealed that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is urging top executives under his command to negotiate a partnership with popular prediction trading platforms Polymarket and Kalshi. Currently, Meta is developing a similar application called Arena, where users can bet on various events. With the continuous expansion of the prediction trading market, Meta hopes to have a share of the pie. Internal executives of the company stated that Arena differs fundamentally from Polymarket and Kalshi, which support cash betting: the application will use virtual points similar to online game credits instead of real currency. The three employees, who requested to remain anonymous (all of whom signed confidentiality agreements), stated that Zuckerberg has listed Arena as a core priority project, with a more profound strategic plan than previously understood by the public. He has instructed company executives to actively engage with Polymarket and Kalshi, but the specific form of cooperation between the two parties is still undecided.
