SEB's Jussi Hiljanen stated in a report that hopes for a sustainable US-Iran peace agreement are driving the yield on US 10-year Treasury bonds up to 4.40%, with the possibility of hovering around this level in the coming months. "We believe that the 10-year Treasury yield is likely to lack a clear trend in the next few months, mainly fluctuating within the range of 4.30% to 4.50%," the chief strategist said. Hiljanen added that SEB still believes that relying solely on the sustainable resolution of conflicts is unlikely to trigger a downward trend in yields, and that macroeconomic data and support from the Federal Reserve are necessary.
