The industry saw a strong start in 2026, with shipments almost on par with the fourth quarter of last year. According to statistics, the domestic integrated circuit manufacturing industry had a rare leading industry growth rate in the first quarter; institutions predict that the global semiconductor industry is expected to exceed $1.5 trillion this year. On the other hand, there is a structural imbalance in supply and demand in the industry, with a significant increase in the performance of memory factories and an increase in prices for wafer foundries and testing and packaging services. End-use manufacturers such as smartphone companies are facing profit pressure.
