Sony Interactive Entertainment will cut the number of employees at Bungie Studio.

On June 25th local time, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hermen Hulst announced in an email on the company's website that, after evaluating the long-term direction and development focus of game development studio Bungie, the company has decided to lay off a large number of positions at that studio. The layoffs will affect most of the members of Bungie's "Destiny" team, as well as some members of the "Lost Starship: Marathon" team. Additionally, there will also be reductions in the Sony Interactive Entertainment team that supports Bungie's operations.
