Wedbush stated in a report that, given Apple's focus on selling products to high-income consumers, the price increase should not have a significant impact on its business. Apple has raised the prices of Mac and iPad by 15% to 25% to offset the rising costs of memory and flash chips. Wedbush analysts said, "The current rise in memory prices is forcing Apple to raise prices, but we believe that, considering the company's increasing focus on high-end consumers, the company is in a good position to increase prices without sacrificing hardware performance or increasing the risk of customer churn." They added that Apple's cooperation with Intel should help diversify the supply chain and alleviate some of the pressure on memory and flash chips.
