Hengrui Medicine: Subsidiary Adabrilumab Injection Approved for New Indications

Hengrui Pharmaceuticals announced that its subsidiary Shanghai Shengdi Pharmaceuticals Limited has received a notification from the National Medical Products Administration that its drug Atezolizumab injection has been approved for a new indication in the perioperative period of non-small cell lung cancer, becoming the first domestically produced PD-L1 inhibitor approved for this indication in China. The drug was previously approved in February 2023 for first-line treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer patients. The new indication was based on positive results from a clinical study with good data performance and safety. As of now, the total research and development investment for this project is approximately 1.2251 billion yuan. The production and sales of the drug may be affected by uncertain factors, so investors are advised to be aware of the risks.
