According to media reports quoting informed sources on Thursday, Cal-Maine Foods and other egg suppliers are close to settling investigations by the US Department of Justice and a group of bipartisan state governments into their alleged illegal price collusion. The reports also stated that the US Department of Justice and states are also close to reaching settlements with Hickman's Egg Ranch and Willows Egg Company.
