Concentrate efforts on solving the prominent water environmental problems near the people's "doorsteps", promote the realization of three basic goals for water bodies around the masses: no abnormal color, no abnormal odor, no abnormal substances. It is reported that the Ministry of Ecology and Environment will strengthen source control, focus on the three major sources of pollution in industry, urban life, and agriculture and rural areas, promote the green and low-carbon transformation of production and lifestyle from the source by strengthening pollution prevention and control in industrial enterprises, improving urban domestic sewage collection and treatment, promoting clean production in farming, and strengthening the control of pollutants entering rivers, fundamentally solving water pollution problems. At the same time, strengthen monitoring and enforcement, extend the water quality monitoring network from major rivers and lakes to small water bodies, strengthen on-site law enforcement supervision of manufacturing, processing, repair, and other small-scale industrial enterprises, as well as livestock and poultry farms, and push water pollution problems that have been repeatedly complained about by the masses and unresolved for a long time into ecological environmental protection inspections, consolidate the responsibilities of all parties, and ensure that water bodies around the masses are managed, managed well, and effectively managed.
