From January 2025 to May 2026, the prosecutor's office filed more than 300 second and retrial appeals against drug cases.

Miao Shengming, a member of the Party group and deputy chief procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, introduced that procuratorial organs fully leverage the advantages of integrated procuratorial work, adhere to top-down coordination and unified efforts, comprehensively utilize diverse supervision methods such as filing appeal, advising on retrial, and correcting illegal activities in writing, to promote precise supervision, standardized supervision, and effective supervision of drug-related cases. From January 2025 to May 2026, procuratorial organs nationwide filed more than 300 second-instance and retrial appeals in drug-related cases, leading to the revision of over 100 cases and increased sentencing for over 100 individuals. At the same time, over 400 cases of illegal activities during judicial proceedings were corrected in writing.
