Qualcomm's US stock rallied in the night market, rising by 3% now. Prior reports cited four sources familiar with the matter as saying that Qualcomm is in negotiations with Chinese company ByteDance to provide chip design services. Three sources said that Qualcomm is discussing designing custom chips for ByteDance. Two of the sources said that these chips will be partially based on technology from AlphaWave Semi, a high-speed connectivity company acquired by Qualcomm last year. However, three sources said that the negotiations are still ongoing and the outcome is not yet certain.
