Shanghai Airport Authority signs memorandum of understanding for cooperation with South Korea Airport Corporation.

According to Shanghai Airport Group, on June 23, Shanghai Airport Group and Korea Airport Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding in Shanghai. Zhou Hao, president of Shanghai Airport Group, and Park Chae-hee, acting CEO and president of Korea Airport Corporation, signed on behalf of both parties. Currently, Shanghai has flights to Korea Airport Corporation's Gimpo, Jeju, Busan, Daegu, and Cheongju airports, operated by 9 airlines including China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Spring Airlines. The flight routes will be further expanded in the summer and autumn season of 2026, with China Eastern Airlines opening a new Shanghai-Cheongju route in July.
