Nike appoints former Pfizer CFO Donton as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective August 17th.

Nike announced on June 23rd that David Denton will assume the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer on August 17th. The current CFO, Matthew Friend, will step down at that time and will remain to assist with the transition of responsibilities until September 4th. He will still participate in the fourth quarter performance conference call for the 2026 fiscal year on June 30th. Denton has over 30 years of experience in financial and operational leadership in multinational publicly traded companies. He previously served as CFO and Executive Vice President of Pfizer, and earlier held the CFO position at Bristol-Myers Squibb and CVS Health. Nike also disclosed that there will be a one-time benefit from tariff refunds in the fourth quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, but excluding this item, the performance is expected to be in line with previous guidance.
