Growing concerns about safety risks have intensified pressure on Meta to accept artificial intelligence review.
According to informed sources, the Trump administration is putting pressure on Meta to voluntarily submit its artificial intelligence models for review, making it easier for the government to assess the models' performance and security vulnerabilities. The US government made this request to the social media giant via email, as it increases its regulatory efforts in the artificial intelligence industry. Earlier this month, the US government, citing national security concerns, forced Anthropic company to suspend the authorization for foreign personnel to access its most advanced artificial intelligence models. Meta stated, "We agree with the government's goal of maintaining America's leading position in the secure and reliable frontier of artificial intelligence. The details are still being negotiated, and we hope to sign the relevant agreements as soon as possible." Among the mainstream artificial intelligence technology developers in the United States, only Meta has not yet reached an agreement with the federal government to voluntarily submit models for official review.
