On June 23rd local time, the Louvre Museum in Paris, France announced that due to the ongoing high temperatures, the museum will close early at 4pm instead of the original 6pm from June 24th to 27th. The Louvre Museum stated that Paris has been experiencing intense heat recently and although the historic building has some heat resistance, it is not fully adapted to the current climate change. With the heat continuing to accumulate in the building and the large number of visitors, the high temperatures inside the museum are particularly noticeable in the afternoon. Earlier, the Eiffel Tower in Paris also announced adjustments to its opening hours due to the high temperatures. France is currently experiencing the second round of widespread heatwaves this year, with many regions issuing high temperature warnings.
