Our country plans to revise the law to improve the regulatory measures in the field of bidding and tendering to prevent corruption.
The draft amendment to the Tendering and Bidding Law was submitted for first review at the 23rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress on June 23. The draft amendment consists of 6 chapters and 79 articles, aiming to strengthen the long-term mechanism of tendering and bidding management at the institutional level, improve supervision measures in the field of tendering and bidding, and prevent corruption. It is understood that since the implementation of the current Tendering and Bidding Law in 2000, it has played an important role in regulating tendering and bidding activities and ensuring the quality of projects. With the development of the economy and society, the field of tendering and bidding faces a series of prominent issues. In recent years, relevant parties have issued a series of policy measures to promote the standardized and healthy development of the tendering and bidding market, achieving certain results. In order to consolidate effective practices and strengthen the long-term mechanism of tendering and bidding management at the institutional level, it is necessary to make targeted modifications and improvements to the current law.
