After the revised "Beijing Non-motor Vehicle Management Regulations" came into effect in May this year, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration has continued to strengthen the crackdown on illegal modification of electric bicycles. In response to some operators illegally modifying vehicles, endangering the safety of people's lives, property, and road traffic safety, strict enforcement measures have been maintained. Recently, the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration, together with the Beijing Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Bureau and the Environmental Food and Drug Total Brigade, carried out surprise law enforcement actions, cracking down on multiple cases of illegal modification of electric bicycles.
