According to traders, the CME Direct platform, owned by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), briefly halted trading on Monday due to a technical issue, but has now resumed trading. "Due to a third-party network issue, some CME Direct clients experienced connection interruptions around 1 pm Central Time. Some affected clients also experienced delays when reconnecting. CME Globex was not affected," a spokesperson for the CME said in an email statement. Traders say that this incident affected trading in commodities such as oil, natural gas, copper, gold, and silver.
