Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has made a whopping $900 million investment in the Indian fintech unicorn CRED. The founder of CRED will now take the helm of WhatsApp.
According to the Smart Financial APP, Meta Platforms (META.US) announced on Monday that it will invest $900 million in Indian financial technology company CRED, valuing the latter at around $4.5 billion. At the same time, CRED founder Kunal Shah will join Meta as the global head of WhatsApp, succeeding current head Will Cathcart.
