According to sources familiar with the matter, US President Trump is expected to meet with executives from the largest defense contractors in the United States on Wednesday. This meeting comes as his administration engages in peace talks with Iran. This will be another meeting following the one on March 6 at the White House where executives from Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies (formerly Raytheon), BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris, and Northrop Grumman were present. The Trump administration has been increasing pressure on defense contractors to prioritize production and American manufacturing capabilities over shareholder dividends. One source mentioned that most defense industrial companies have already received clear instructions from the President to fulfill existing contracts and increase production speed to support the Department of Defense.
