The Bultug coal mining area located in Tawantolgoi Deposit in South Gobi Province has officially started mining operations. Mongolian Prime Minister Ni. Ukhurday attended the launching ceremony and participated in the groundbreaking excavation. According to the plan, after the completion and production of the Bultug mining area, the annual coal production capacity will reach 15 million tons, creating approximately 1,500 new jobs. Currently, the Erdenes Tavantolgoi shares company produces around 35 million tons of coal per year, and after the Bultug mining area starts production, the company's annual production is expected to increase to 50 million tons.
