Dragon Boat Festival holiday, 6.67 million people entered and exited the country.
According to the National Immigration Administration, during this year's Dragon Boat Festival holiday, national border inspection agencies ensured a total of 6.67 million entries and exits for Chinese and foreign nationals, with an average of 2.22 million entries and exits per day, an increase of 12.9% compared to the same period last year. The peak of daily entries and exits occurred on June 20, reaching 2.308 million people. Among them, mainland residents had 2.921 million entries and exits, an increase of 5.5% compared to the same period last year; residents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan had 2.969 million entries and exits, an increase of 18.4% compared to the same period last year; and foreign nationals had 777,000 entries and exits, an increase of 23.3% compared to the same period last year. Among the foreign nationals entering the country, 266,000 entered under visa exemption policies, an increase of 15.2% compared to the same period last year. A total of 305,000 transport vehicles were inspected for entries and exits, a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the National Immigration Administration, border inspection agencies nationwide strengthened monitoring of entry and exit flows, promptly issued warnings about peak passenger flows at ports, provided references for the public's travel; scientifically organized duties, opened sufficient inspection channels, and fully ensured the rapid clearance of Chinese and foreign passengers; closely cooperated and coordinated, strengthened emergency response, and ensured comprehensive support for transportation during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. During the holiday, the entry and exit of national ports were safe, efficient, and orderly.
