According to the monitoring of the Chongqing Hydrological Station, from 8:00 on June 21 to 8:00 on June 22, most parts of Chongqing experienced moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing heavy rain to severe rain. Seventeen districts and counties including Beibei, Qijiang, Changshou, Jiangjin, Hechuan, Yongchuan, Bishan, Rongchang, Wanzhou, Kaizhou, Jianjiang, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wuxi, Xiushan, Youyang, and Liangjiang New Area experienced severe rain, with Changshou, Jianjiang, and Fengjie counties experiencing severe rain. The highest daily precipitation occurred in Meiman Village, Bajie Street, Changshou District, with 135.0 millimeters. Due to the rainfall, three small and medium rivers including Taohuaxi and Yanjiahe in Changshou District, and Ranjiagou in Yunyang County exceeded the warning level, with Taohuaxi exceeding the alert level. As of 9:00 on the 22nd, Taohuaxi still exceeded the alert level. Forty-two small and medium rivers including Nanxi River in Yunyang County and Maliu River in Beibei District experienced a 1-4 meters increase in water level, but none exceeded the warning level. The water authorities predict that from 8:00 on June 22 to 8:00 on June 23, some small and medium rivers in the central and southeastern parts of Chongqing may experience different levels of rising water, with some rivers possibly exceeding the warning or alert levels. From 8:00 on June 23 to 8:00 on June 25, the water level of small and medium rivers in Chongqing will remain relatively stable, with no significant increase in water level.
